The Story Behind "LAFLEUR"

For LaFleur, I was thinking about those moments spent in the big tropical greenhouses here in Paris. You know that feeling when you walk in and the humid heat just hits you? To me, it's the best spot for a date, or that slightly awkward, special moment when you hold someone's hand for the first time. There's this smell of exotic flowers and damp earth that makes you completely forget you're surrounded by Parisian concrete.

I chose an exotic floral pattern for this piece instead of something more traditional or European. I also added water droplets into the design to represent that heat you feel inside the greenhouse or just the natural warmth you'd find if you were actually in the tropics.
